As languages and translations change, so does the name even though the person of subject remains the same.
In this book, the authors focus is on Jesus of Nazareth. The book focuses on times of Jesus life that are not mentioned in the bible. There are many stories and events that happened when he was a child that led up to what we know of him in the New Testament of the bible.
Jesus is the Lord and savior to Christians. Although, different denominations may disagree over certain things, to many Christians Jesus was God in the flesh and is the only way to eternal life with God. Throughout history, there have always been Jesus critics. Some have even insulted the intelligent of believers. The author did many years of studying and research to try and prove his points in his book.
The book focuses on trying to find out exactly who Joshua was. The author investigates everything about this man. He went on a quest to find out what was the truth and what wasn't. Everyone has thought of errors that could have been made when the bible was written. Some have wondered if the words in the bible were actually written from God's inspiration or if they were written by just regular men. It has also come to thought that there could be missing portions of the bible that nobody knows about. This could have a negative affect on what a person's belief is as they are not getting the whole story.
He mentions the many myths in the bible. He really concentrates on the missing times of Joshua's life in the bible. Who was he and how did he live during the 18 years that are not mentioned in the bible. Was he a normal guy who was just brilliant and had a gift of learning bible scripture? Did he have intelligent teachers from whom he learned what he knew?
This book talks about Jesus in a manner that has never been written before. Women have always been seen as a lower class than men throughout history and often faced severe punishments that men would not. Facts are pointed out about how Joshua was the first prophet to actually fight for women's rights.
